Scholarship Program

I Define Lupus believes it is important to support educational advancement. The founder of I Define Lupus, has a vision for a Scholarship campaign which will help young people to go college or pursue higher education. Her passion for the Scholarship campaign, comes from her having to stop her own education at Hofstra University in her third year when she was initially diagnosed with Lupus.

The I Define Lupus Scholarship campaign is specifically for persons with Lupus. We want to know why you want the scholarship and how the financial assistance is going to change and help your life. To apply for the scholarship applicants would need to send their essays to scholarships@idefinelupus.org with a letter from your Rheumatologist confirming your diagnosis of Lupus.

The Deadline is August  31, 2021 and a winner will be announced  by September  15, 2021.

I Define Lupus Scholarship requirements are as follows:

• High School GPA of 3.0
• 1,500 - word essay explaining why you qualify for the Scholarship.
• Letter of confirmation regarding your diagnosis from your Immunologist/Rheumatologist, letter must have a doctor’s stamp.
• Letter of acceptance from college or area of higher education.
